Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, why it is used, and the limited situations in which another party may receive it. By continuing to use Bledsoe County Criminal History, you agree to these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or place entered in a search box goes to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

When you send an email, we keep the message as needed to answer it. It stays within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Our servers receive basic technical details whenever a page loads:

  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • Which browser you are using and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • The site that sent you here, if any
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved on a device. They and our analytics services help combine traffic data, such as popular pages and common exit points. You may block cookies through browser settings, though parts of the site may then work differently.

What We Do With This Data

  • Diagnosing faults and maintaining performance
  • Routing search requests to the selected partner
  • Understanding which pages visitors use
  • Keeping the service available and responsive
  • Displaying ads that may reflect visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Bledsoe County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes directions to the Bledsoe County sheriff, local courts, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern information submitted to those tools. We do not control those practices. Review the provider's policy before running a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to courts, sheriff offices, Tennessee agencies, legal resources, or external search services. After you follow an outbound link, the destination's privacy terms control the visit. Review them before providing personal details.

Advertising providers may track activity across websites to select ads. That process takes place through their systems.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be available to:

  • Analytics services that measure use and performance
  • Search partners that process queries sent to their tools
  • Advertising networks that place ads on these pages
  • Government or law enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

We use standard safeguards for information under our control. No internet service can promise perfect security, however, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.

Users Under 18

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, we will remove it.

Your Data Rights

Rights may vary by where you live. Tennessee's Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. §§10-7-503 and 10-7-506, governs access to covered public-agency records, not data held by this private site. Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
  • Have us fix information that is wrong
  • Request that we erase your data
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
